My name is Ron Fitzherbert and I’d like to welcome you to my blog-site.  To put my online life in perspective:  I’ve been using computers since the late 70’s; I have been online since the late 80’s; I have been on the Internet since the early 90’s.  I have finally decided to combine most of my electronic self into this one site where I can hopefully impart some wisdom and maybe a bit of humor to those of you whom choose to read what I write.

For more information about me you can view my LinkedIn, Kickstarter, Kiva or Catchafire profiles.

I recently (2017-2018) ran in the primary for the U.S. House of Representatives looking at taking back the New Mexico 2nd District seat in 2018, but then my friend and the ultimate winner, Xochitl Torres Small entered the race and I decided to step aside and endorse her bid.

You can visit the website I founded and still run at PlayaFire.com – if you dig around a bit you may find some more info about me.

Currently, in addition to my “day job” I am a Co-Founder and the Chief Creative for Blue Gothic Design Studios LLC.

I’m also a member of the following organizations: The Internet Society, American MensaThe Long Now Foundation

I’ve also volunteer for the American Red Cross, the Southern New Mexico Medical Reserve Corps and Team Rubicon.  Currently I am on the Board of The Foundation for Las Cruces Museums and previously I was the Board President of Safe Haven Animal Sanctuary.

If you are into ancient history you can always take a look back at some of what I was up to in  1996 thanks to the archives at the Internet Archive Wayback Machine!

Of course if you want to get in touch you can always just email [email protected]!
